       Sorry been having writers block and school work but I'm back so let's get started

Reader's p.o.v.

 When I walked into that horrible,dark office.  I  could smell maple syrup, it smelled delicious(mmmm maple). When I looked at the person in the chair in front of the desk. He had long, dirty blonde hair that was tied back and violet eyes. He turned to me and gave me a small, faint smile.

"So you're the one I'm adopting" he said looked ummm... happy I guess from what I could tell. Mrs. Trunchbull looked scared and shrunk back into her seat behind the desk when he shot a look at her. it was not the way he had just looked at me. What did she do to him, my head cocked to the side at his glare towards her.

"a-all I-I n-need i-is y-y-you t-to sig-gn t-this-s a-a-and s-she's yours" she said shaking.  She handed him the pen, still shaking.He motioned me over to him.

“Little Maple, how about that nickname” he said. He picked me up and setting me onto his lap and he quickly signs the papers. Then he picks me up and takes me outside with (stuffed animal) in my hand.  He stops and sends one last glare at Mrs. Trunchbull as she shrunk back further. Then when we went to his (random model) car on the drive home I fell asleep.

     When I awake to the sun hitting my eyes, I'm in a nice,large bed, that was warm too. I head downstairs not without forgetting to grab (stuffed animal). I  headed to what I think is  the kitchen I see a medium-sized polar bear. As I approach him, he looks up at me he looked scary to me. he got up and walked over to me he stood up to my head, he leans close and then licks my cheek. I giggle at him  which catching the attention of Pèpe(papa).

"(Name), this is Kumajiro" he says, picking me up and sets me on the counter. Then he gave me a huge stack of pancakes covered with maple syrup.

"Little maple I'm sorry, but I must leave I'll be back, I promise," he said gently kissed my forehead. Then he walked out of the house with a long black bag, taking Kumajiro with him. As I waited for Pèpe to get home, I watched (random tv show). Then I heard a loud bam! and a sharp pain then darkness.

        2p Canada p.o.v.

     The poacher had gotten away, I lost him , I walked back to the cabin excited to see My Little Maple. As I walked in the house and I immediately noticed something was wrong. There was no running of feet to greet me or no warm hug, at least what I would expect with a new child now living with me. That thought drove me to the door was busted open, I rushed upstairs with Kumajiro behind me. The upstairs living room was trashed. things  were scattered around,  she was gone, My Little Maple was gone. On the couch was a small note, it said :

This is what you get for stopping my poaching- the one that got away.

    I growled balling up the note. Kumajiro knew what to do instantly and rushed to where he had taken my Little Maple Leaf. I kicked open the door of the sack. Inside, he was there standing over my helpless little girl, she was bruised. I saw red I knocked him unconscious and took my maple leaf back. When we got home, I treated her bruises.  I swore I'd teach her to fight in my mind, but for now, I thought as I tucked her into bed, I contemplated on why I got her. I never thought I would get a kid, it had been Oliver’s constant nagging. He was always nagging about not having grandchildren, Of course Oliver is going to love her. Though Francis and Allen, I am going to keep them away from. I looked back to her and I promised I would spoil her like crazy like she deserves.
